New Hampshire Residential Real Estate Report for March, 2009 Residential - single family, condos and mobile homes. Unemployment rates across the country may still be plummeting, but New Hampshire seems to be on the way to a recovery. At least we hope! This first graph shows that the median residential home price rose by nearly $10k from last month. Market prices are still down from last year, as shown, but it will be a while before prices get that high again.
Now here is the stinger. 902 homes were sold last month! Not only is this almost 50% more than last month, but even more homes were sold this month than there were the same month last year! Many of these home sales can be attributed to the discounted prices we see at short sales and REO sales. If you are a stable buyer, you might want to hurry up and get out there before all of these discounted homes are gone!
All I can say is, thank goodness we live in New Hampshire where real estate agents still have a job to do!
